About the Book
"About Face" is about people - those who world traveler Bill Cain has encountered and photographed since 1978.
The book has no commentary, and makes no attempt to describe the circumstances behind any of the photographic moments, or to speak to any cultuural encounters that may have taken place during the process.
The photos, along with simply the country and year in which they were taken, stand alone on their visual merit, and represent one person's interpretation and recording of the infinite varieties of the human likeness.
