Wallasey, near Liverpool, UK, has a total of 65 pubs. Some are open and are making good profits, some are just hanging in there by a thread and 10 are closed with their future uncertain. This book is a celebration of the local alehouses, watering holes and bars of the Town of Wallasey, Merseyside where I grew up and still reside. Enjoy!

Based in Wallasey and a member of Wallasey Amateur Photographic Society since about 1994, I took up photography on New Year's Day 1990 when I went on a skiing holiday in Andorra. I didn't own a camera so I bought one there - a colour 2000 for about £16! I now own 2 Nikon film SLRS, a Nikon D80 and a Bronica film camera.
I love travel photography and didn't really get the travel bug until I was in my mid 20's. I mainly travel around Europe but have recently started exploring North Africa. I particularly like mountainous areas, islands and old buildings particularly churches and cathedrals.
In my spare time I write travel books and produce photographic portfolios of my work. I am hoping to produce at least 4 books a year 2 of my travels, a yearbook and some local work. Whatever I do I like to add a sense of humour to my work. It is appreciated most of the time! I don't believe everything in life should be so serious after all there is a time to laugh and a time to cry.
