These photos were taken over a two week period at the end of October 2012 in rural north central Arkansas, about a half hour drive from Jasper in newton County. It's a fairly isolated area. I was attending a two week Buddhist retreat at Katog Choling Mountain Retreat Center and every morning around dawn I would walk down a hill from where I was staying to the Center. The walk took about 20 minutes if I didn't stop to take a few photos, which I did every day. Early morning fog was common. The Fall colors weren't as bright as they usually are because of a drought. Nevertheless, there was beauty and peace every morning and I hope I captured some of that.
