In November 2012, we travelled to Mexico for the third time to stay at the fantastic Barceló resort situated on the Mayan Riviera on the east coast of Mexico. The resort is located in the Mexican State of Quintana Roo on the Yucatán Peninsula. The last time we were on this coast was fifteen years ago when we stayed at the Royal Maeva to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Our 40th Anniversary was in 2012, and we decided to go back to the Mayan Riviera and vacation at the Barceló Resort which Kathryn and Bill had recommended highly.

David J. Hanington was born in England and spent his career as a Fine Arts conservator who specialized in rare books and archival materials. He immigrated to Canada in 1970 to take a position with the Public Archives of Canada.

David retired in September 2000 from the Canadian Conservation Institute in Ottawa, Canada. http://www.cci-icc.gc.ca

Since his retirement, he has found time to pursue his interests in travel and photography. He has produced many A.V. shows of vacations that he has taken with his wife Sandra.
