A retrospective review of Los Angeles painter Gregg Chadwick's paintings, which pull the world's moments into view and lead the viewer into a numinous space. Chadwick is part of a Globalism movement in the arts that has left behind the self-reflective irony of Post-Modernism and turned towards the world as its subject.
Kent Chadwick is a poet living on Bainbridge Island, Washington. His book God comes to us like a caterpillar: Jesus' stories retold for kids was published by Wisdom Press in 2010. His poetry CD Still through you was recorded at Jack Straw Productions in 2003. The poetry-painting collaborations that he has done with Gregg are documented on their website Ars Poetica (http://chadwick15.home.mindspring.com) and include Burning Man 2003 and the installation "Poets + Painters" at the di Rosa Preserve Gallery in Napa Valley, California.
