Photography is not what it seems. Great photos are the result of hard work, not just chance. Though every image is in part chance, what makes one great has less to do with chance then it does the skill of the person behind the camera. Photography requires an eye for the moments that matter most. You need to be able to see every shot before it happens and anticipate the ones you don't expect. You must always be ready to release the shutter because a great photo can sometimes last for only a fleeting moment.
A glance, a punch, the painful silence after a bad joke; these are the moments photographers work so hard to capture, for they are the most precious and magnificent.
