Wheat fields are beautiful. They glow in the light of a sunrise or sunset. A storm over a wheat field is a dramatic scene. Beautiful patterns can be created when a wheat field is cut.

In June of 2008 I went on a trip to capture the beauty of wheat fields using photography as my medium. This book contains a selection of photographs I took of wheat in Kansas. All photographs in this book were taken with a Canon Digital Rebel XTi.

This book differs from my other Wheat book becuase these photos were taken with 35mm and were only taken in Kansas. My other Wheat book only has photographs taken using a Polaroid 600 camera.

I love Kathy Van Torne's photographs of wheat fields. Her use of color reminds me very much of Vincent van Gogh, who explored the same subject in drawings and paintings.

I love this book. It's beautiful-such an interesting subject. The wheat fields have such engaging lines and forms to them.
