Charles R. Childs began producing postcards as early as 1906 and continued as late as 1951. He produced between 25,000 to 40,000 distinct real photo card images during the period 1906-1915 and is considered by some as one of the most important and probably the most prolific Midwest, if not national, producers of real photo cards. Now for the first time, his story is told in This is a Real Photograph, the Life and Work of Charles R. Childs.
