Dream of my People is a story around an Ontario country home in the late 19th century, based on the diaries of Adelaide Shay Bell. Enriched by public documents and letter written to he by other family members, the book describes life in these times.
Margaret Derry is a professional historian who has written a number of books within three separate series, being "Life and Living" which includes Dream of My People as well as several books on northern Georgian Bay; half a dozen books on "animals and science" published by academic presses; and more recently, works of art combining photography and digital techniques.
