The ruins of the future:

The multi-level, high rise, interlocking sky-road, known as Spaghetti Junction, is the most familiar of the 60s road systems in the U.K. built for the ‘future-cars’ of that decade and beyond. Modelled on the freeways of the USA, no self-respecting modern city was complete without them.
Mass House Circus Gyratory was a smaller less complex version, positioned right in the heart of Birmingham’s city centre. The underground systems, car parks, upper road decks and subway tunnels were demolished between 2000 and 2004, in order to redevelop the cities East Side area. To facilitate this rebuilding, the Bullring Centre and Mass House Circus were erased less than 38 years after they were both originally constructed.

This book contains 42 pages of text and photographs by David Rowan, in addition to archive images from Birmingham Council Planning department, additional quotes and text by Liam Kenneddy and Will Alsop.
