by Marti Bledsoe Artist
Portfolio of original art images from an exhibit titled " Paper and Clay", shown at the Shy Rabbit Contemporary Arts Gllery, in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The art works here are mono-prints created using a unique printmaking technique called "Reductive Ink", first developed by D. Michael Coffee.
The contemporary images are full of rich layered color with a painterly feel. The majority of the work is of a series titled "Leaves & Seeds" created by the artist over several months. The art work has been well received and many of the pieces have gone in to private collections. It is a beautiful book with inspirational art.
martibledsoe.com Marti Bledsoe received her initial art instruction and life long mentoring from her aunt, Rosalie Heacock, a plein aire artist in Southern California, where Marti grew up. After her early introduction to oil painting, at the age of ten, she continued to express her love of creativity while living in Arizona and New York. She went on to study art at Auburn University and University of Texas in El Paso, but not before she experienced the colorful culture and scenery of Turkey, where she lived for 3 years. She is currently involved in creating one of a kind prints, or monoprints, using a printmaking process called Reductive Ink. She learned this technique studying with D. Micheal Coffee, at the Shy Rabbit Contemporary Art Gallery in Pagosa Springs, CO.
