365 Days of London
by May Lee Weernink
A photographic record of my first year in London, taking one photo every day.
Hi Edwin,Thanks for your lovely comment! I'm glad you liked the book, it was a tough one to put together. I used 100% Adobe InDesign to make this book. It's my first project using InDesign, which has a Blurb plug-in that creates blank page templates with trim guidelines so you can create your own page layouts. Much more flexible but a lot of training required! I got a subscription to lynda.com and followed a number of their InDesign video tutorial courses to learn the ropes. I can highly recommend them.I borrowed some design elements from the EasyJet in-flight magazine - the film-strip type layout, which gives it a feeling of a time-series - combined with the look & feel of London Underground maps to give it a bit of relevance. Very satisfying once it's all done and printed! I had to print one for my mum as well, who lives back in NZ :)Your books look great too - all the best with your HK project!May Lee

Hi May Lee,Stunning piece of work, your book "365 Days of London"! Great pictures and absolutely awesome design. I was so impressed. Your book totally inspired me ... I have lived 2 years in Hong Kong and I would love to make a similar account of my stay there like you did for your year in London.Quick question: what software did you use when designing your book?Greetz & keep clicking!Edwin
