This book includes 12 Tibetan buddhist thangkas used in traditional vajrayana practice in the Nyingma tradition. Painted over the course of 10 years under the direction of a Tibetan thangka master, the images include explanations of the symbols used in each painting.
As an artist, my primary passion is the exploration of the human spirit in it's journey toward truth. Working in oil, watercolor, mixed media, and monotype, my paintings depict the spirit realm primarily through figurative expression. My art has evolved from the spontaneous exploration of the often hidden and mystical side of life and death, to the study of Tibetan thangka painting, and more recently to aspects of meditation as portrayed through still life images.
