About the Book
A collection of photos taken by SSG Carl Bishop during deployment to Camp Marmal Afghanistan. These photos are insignificant in nature and are representative of the things I saw daily during my 11 month stay at Mazar I Shariff.
I am a 30 year military veteran with emphasis in Aviation. I am married for the past 35 years (and counting) to the same love of my life, we have 4 children and 4 grand children, our son in law and daughter in law, three dogs and a cat. I am a cancer survivor and I have a love of photography and people. My daily goal is to enrich my life by enriching the lives of those around me one person at a time. Sometimes that means letting them be, sometimes it means lending them a hand. I appreciate you stopping by and seeing what I have to offer. As I slowly retreat from the public work sector I intend to create photo books, grouping together collections of things I have photographed over the years with an explanation as to what moved me to make the shot and process the photo.
