About the Book
Design Studio 2 serves as an opportunity to further investigate graphic design through a variety of visual representation techniques. Students were introduced to the practice of design and gained first hand experience in identifying design problems, doing research, developing clear objectives, and proposing different ways to address design problems. A goal of Design Studio 2 was to provide students with different perspectives on design responsibility. The course focused on different design solutions—a family of icons and a poster series—for communicating the United Nations’ eight Millennium Development Goals.
