This charity cookbook brings together a selection of recipes discovered by a group of friends who set themselves the challenge of cooking a meal each Wednesday from a different country of the world. Some one hundred meals later, this book celebrates the enlightening experience of trying world dishes, aromas and flavours without leaving home.

'World Wednesday' is simply an excuse for friends to get together and celebrate world food. It doesn’t matter whether you do this on a Monday, a Saturday, a Thursday or a Tuesday. But the name ‘World Wednesday’ was coined after four friends challenged themselves to cook a meal every Wednesday from each of the 250 and more countries of the world.

All proceeds from the charity cookbook go to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to help it to beat blood cancers, in honour of one of the World Wednesday creators, who started the first draft of this cookbook while in hospital for his leukaemia treatments.

Buy the book, support an amazing cause and start your own journey of discovering new flavours as well as different twists on familiar tastes!

We are two sisters living in London, who with friends, dreamt up the 'World Wednesday' challenge to cook a meal every Wednesday from each country of the world. Between April and May 2013, we designed, drafted and developed our photography skills to make "WORLD WEDNESDAY the cookbook" to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. This is a cause very close to our hearts, after our friend and fellow World Wednesday creator, was diagnosed with leukaemia. You can track our fundraising progress at

This is fantastic! My family has been having 'themed' dinner parties for the last couple of years but what a great idea to bring it together in a cook book and encourage people to embrace the world at their kitchen table. Just love it!
