An old Yak loses his beloved Sherpa in a tragic accident while on a perilous journey through the Himalayas.
The Yak's troubles are far from over as he quickly falls into the hands of a devious merchant who plans to sell him to a local butcher.
The Yak flees the merchant's clutches just before the sale and soon meets a talented Nepali, dancing girl on the streets of Kathmandu. The poor little dancer promises that she will take the Yak from Ladakh where he can retire in peace and security.
So begins the adventures of this unlikely pair in a delightfully written and illustrated children's book by first time author T. A. Correll.
