After his diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease from exposure to Agent Orange the author rediscovered hundreds of pictures and letters from his service in Vietnam 1967-1968. Articulate and poignant, the letters describe a young classical guitarist changing into a soldier. The photographs clearly and accurately show the everyday life on the base and in a war-time Vietnam. No history lessons, no pro/anti-war stance, and no political agenda, just a simple human story about an American soldier through his photographs and letters home.
