About the Book
In this beautiful volume of photographs, Enid Bloch captures the warmth, infectious enthusiasm, and deep humanity of JoAnn Falletta, music director of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Uniquely revealing images take us right on stage - and behind stage - with one of the nation's great conductors.
We follow Maestro Falletta through preparation, rehearsals, and performances, witnessing her exquisite sensitivity and breadth of personality as she leads her fellow musicians to the heights of musical expression.
In this tenth year of JoAnn Falletta's tenure with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, these images honor the sublime gift she has bestowed upon the Buffalo community and the nation.
More than 90 photographs are graced by JoAnn Falletta's own poems.
