This book is the second XGRAY VISION year-end review and the end result of a grueling adventure in self-criticism. Going back through a year's worth of work and trying to distill it all into a small subset of images is not a task for the easily daunted. Oh it starts out easily enough, gather together all of your favorites and the favorites of others, but then the challenge begins. The iterative process of pruning gets increasingly difficult and eventually there's just no room for that one photo you just had to include, however, the process is not without its rewards. There are those photos that you figured would never make it, but after looking at them over and over--next to other photos that they've never been next to before--you realize their brilliance and they take the place of one of those sure things. of course the fun part for me is that I'm not going to tell you which are which.
