I lived in Kenya for 25 years and have been a photographer for 40. Although the country is blessed with a wonderful bright and penetrating sunlight, which makes for amazing colour photographs, it also has fantastic textures and shadows that work in black and white.
I was brought up and lived in Kenya for 25 years, and my soul is still wandering the plains of the Mara, the hills of Tsavo and that endless deserted beach near Shela village on Lamu. I have been a chocolate salesman, an RAF officer, a pilot, a navigator and aviation operations officers as well as a trainee school teacher and school administrator. I have written all my working life and have exhibited and sold photographs over the last 30 years. I have been fortunate to travel the world, and have lived in Kenya, the UK, Germany, Canada and even the Shetland Islands. Photography and travel are my main interests along with a strong interest in historical aviation and conservation.
