Exploring the Loire by Bicycle and Chateau
Traveling along France's longest river
by Sharron and Ken Parker
In the late summer of 2008, the authors spent two weeks exploring the Loire region of France. During the first week, they joined seven friends staying in a privately-owned historic castle. After that they took a train to Amboise and traveled by bicycle along the river from town to town staying in a different one each night. This book describes their travel and shows what they saw along the way.
Sharron is a fiber artist with studios in Raleigh and Wake Forest, North Carolina. Ken is retired and enjoys skiing, hiking, photography, table tennis and lifelong learning.
