About the Book
A book which explores the aesthetic and philosophic controls that photographers use when working in the social realist mode. The book comprises of portfolio sections which are introduced by a discussion of style and content. The sections illustrate areas such as Time, Movement, Intimacy, Chance and Accident.
Nick Hedges has been a documentary photographer for nearly 50 years. He has worked in the field of social affairs with a number of voluntary organisations. His work is in the collections of the National Media Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and is archived at the Central Library, Birmingham.
