Early morning on a stretch of beach in Monterey California is
a time of blissful freedom as dogs cavort, strut, race and swim.
Surfers wait for waves to swell; folks bundled up jog and walk along
the shore. The photographs in this book are of this brief interlude,
before the sun comes out in full flare and the beach fills.
Bailey has been photographing city streets for many years. She studied filmmaking, continuing her work in photography in San Francisco where she lived for ten years. Bailey's work has been in numerous exhibitions, and is in museum and private collections.
