About the Book
This book is all about Alexa and some of her adventures. With her can-do attitude, Alexa looks for new experiences, and this often leads to unexpected situations and “impossible” adventures far from home. For Alexa, finding her way back again becomes the real challenge. Being unexpectedly transported to strange and mysterious places, with no idea how to get out again, would be too much for most kids, but not for Alexa. She bravely faces the "unknown", and always manages to find her way home. Clever kid! As she says in her own words: “There’s nobody quite like me!”
Born in Southern California, studied three years at the Sorbonne in France, lived twenty years in Mexico, where I raised my three sons and worked at a variety positions, as French and English professor, graphic illustrator, copywriter, translator/interpreter, and aquatic resource assistant, while pursuing my fine art on the side. My greatest loves are the Faith, my family and the arts. Returned to Northern California in 1983 to continue raising my family while working as a language teacher/interpreter/translator. Now living in San Diego, California - full circle to my birthplace and ready to write the next chapter. My love of challenge continues to inspire my writing, art and life itself, as past hardships overcome have made me stronger and more eager to face new challenges. Life's motto: "Happiness is not getting what you want, but wanting what you get."
