In support of the dissertation entitled ‘Underground FM: Is Pirate Radio Still Influential to British Music Culture in the 21st Century’, this book traces the origins and evolution of pirate radio from its sea-faring roots in 1960s Britain, to the inner city tower blocks of urban London, examining how this rebellious radio format has influenced contemporary music culture, and changed the structure of the radio industry along the way.
