About the Book
An account of her life in County Clare by Mary Meaney. Born in the 1930's she was the daughter of the local Post Mistress. After a harsh schooling she worked in a department store in Ennis. She later married an island famer and moved to live in Coney Island on the Fergus estuary. After 8 years she moved with her young family back to the mainland where she still lives.
