The photos in this book are the result of the trips that I made in 2008. They cover places like Johnson City, Fredericksburg, Enchanted Rock, Austin, Columbus, Winklemann, Giddings, Cameron, Magnolia, Rosebud, Borden, Galveston, Navasota, Plantersville, and more. Some photos were not even taken in any town proper, but rather just off on the side of a road in the middle of nowhere.

About the Author

Tracy Manford
Faith626 Houston, TX, USA

Tracy Manford was born and raised in Texas, and the state's natural beauty and scenic diversity can be seen throughout her work. Her dramatic representations of everyday life highlight the beauty in the ordinary world, and her passion for turning forgotten places into fine art is what sets her work apart.

Tracy has shown at multiple galleries and sold art to a variety of clients, including private businesses, interior decorators, and everyday art lovers looking to bring a splash of color into their homes. Her work has appeared in Houston Press, Houston Chronicle, Houstonist, Houston: It's Worth It -- Ike, and even George Bush Intercontinental Airport. She's also published a book called Roadtripping Texas that collects some of her best shots from around the state.

When she's not shooting, Tracy can be found exploring abandoned buildings for future projects, trying new vegetarian recipes, or relaxing with her crotchety but lovable dog, Emma.
