About the Book
"Sah Sen" is the Northwest Native American name for the hummingbird. This little bird represents good luck, playfulness, and friendship. Every September, Sah Sen migrates from as far up as Canada down to Mexico and Central America, stopping for a breather in my part of southeast Texas. This useful 150-page standard landscape-sized( 8.5 x 10) photo journal (in both hardbound and softbound) is filled with beautiful images of this amazing little bird, interesting facts and personal observations about hummingbirds in general and ruby-throated hummingbirds in particular, and blank lined pages waiting for your own writings, thoughts, doodles and dreams.
Features & Details
I have a "day job", but my "night job" and serious hobby is photography. I've been a photographer since high school (eons ago). I inherited my love of the medium from my father, who in his day used his Mamiya twin-lens reflex to capture Ansel Adams-worthy scenes of my home state of Montana. My first digital camera was a 2MP point-and-shoot from a local store. Since then, I have never looked back to film. I've traveled and/or lived in Montana, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California,New Mexico, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisiana, Texas, Western Canada, London, and Ireland. I hope to do much more travel and photograph many more things before all is said and done.
