About the Book
Artist book about Planking by Erik Berglin
Erik Berglins recent practice has focused on appropriating images found online. The images in this book has been collected between 2008 and 2012. Berglin is interested in similarities between famous works of art and images made by anonymous people. In Art history books there is usually an obsession to compare historically important examples of related images and themes. The images in this book reminds one of the documentation of conceptual performances by Erwin Wurm, Charles Ray and others. By comparing famous pictures with private images that unconsciously mimic works of art, Berglin is questioning originality and copyright issues.
