In his book SIGHTSEER photographer Roger Minick has created not only an engaging study of the activity of sightseeing in America, but a poignant time-capsule of the American people at the end of the 20th Century.

For the book, cultural writer and activist Lucy R. Lippard has written a timely essay about the images, both from a historical and contemporary perspective, and with lots of crackling wit and insight along the way.
