Broward College (formerly known as Broward Community College), established in 1962 as a two-year community college and changed by the Florida Legislature into a four-year college in 2008, is the primary educator of teachers, nurses, police officers, firefighters, and marine and automotive technicians in Broward County, Florida. The Broward College Foundation is the 501(c)(3) non-profit division of the college, raising money to fund capital campaigns, scholarships and program support for Broward College.
