The Pretoria National Botanical Garden, located in Pretoria's eastern suburbs, was established in 1946. For the photographer it is more of a challenge than some other botanical gardens, but if one is prepared to move in close there are many hidden gems waiting to be discovered. The book comprises five sections, devoted to water, trees, flowers, leaves and lichens, homing in on artistic details rather than the general scene.
Retired in 2009 from the Council for Geoscience (South Africa). Now devoting most of my time to landscape, nature and flower photography. Published a collection of landscape photos in "Around South Africa in Eighteen Days" (Protea Book House) in 2008.
