About the Book
Marcin Jastrzebski - member of Association of Polish Art Photographers specializes in long exposure times – from a couple of minutes to one hour. For his photographs he usually chooses dusk or dawn or sunset, he often photographs beyond the polar circle. The main subject of his creative interest is a place where the land touches the sea. The artist photographs the seaside (sometimes with boulders, branches of withered trees, remaining of mysterious constructions, navigable signs), islands and peninsulas. The long exposure time catches the unchanged outline of the land together with objects situated in the foreground. Their sharp and clear contour is confronted with the matter of small forms (clouds and water) whose movement creates blurry and ambiguous picture.
