About the Book
The rise in the ‘hidden homeless’ represents a crisis that the government in the UK is ignoring with further welfare cuts. Cinzia D'Ambrosi, photojournalist and documentary photographer has captured lives in limbo for over 3 years. Her photobook Transitional captures these grim realities allowing the viewer into the less known world of lives of Britain’s hidden homeless: people stuck in hostels, B&Bs and temporary flats.

Cinzia D’Ambrosi is an independent Photojournalist and Documentary Photographer. Her photojournalist work centers on issues of human rights, minorities and workers’ conditions. Long term projects are the effects of the recent war in the Balkans, Workers conditions and the Roma Gypsy communities in the Balkans. Her main clients are charities organizations, NGO's and the public sector. Cinzia believes in her work to influence decision makers and to raise awareness on human rights and social issues around the world. She has taken part or initiated awareness campaigns. With the Justice and Peace Commission of the Hong Kong Catholic Diocese her work has been a source for a campaign on health and safety at work in China. She also been working along side NGOs in the field of minorities rights. Her long term project on the marginalization of minorities such as the Roma in Europe has culminated in a book "Unwanted in Europe".
