In 1976, William Eggleston was asked by Rolling Stone magazine to document Plains, Georgia, hometown of then presidential candidate Jimmy Carter, on the eve of the election. The photographs were not published by the magazine, but were published as a limited edition artist book titled 'Election Eve.'
One Nine Seven Six Two Zero One Three consists of photographs of New York City that explore the visual delights of unremarkable spaces.
