About the Book
This book covers two separate trips to California: the first was in Oct-Nov 2012 with my oldest niece, and the second was in February 2013 with my girlfriend Robyn. The trip with my niece was a whirlwind road trip covering many of the must-see highlights of the entire state. We flew into Reno, NV where we rented a car and proceeded to the incredibly interesting ghost town of Bodie in the high desert north of Mono Lake. This nine day trip then proceeded to Mono Lake, Yosemite (where we camped for two nights), San Francisco, the Central Coast, Hearst Castle, Santa Barbara, LA, Santa Catalina Island, and Disneyland.
The second trip was a more spontaneous trip to Death Valley--the largest, and in my opinion, most underrated national park in the country. We covered most of the highlights of this wonderful park in five fun-filled days. The pictures speak for themselves as for the natural beauty to be found here in this land of Tatooine.
