About the Book
This is a glimpse into some of MY favourite artworks I have created between 1983 to 2012. It is not nearly all. Most of my work is large, up to eight feet. My favourite size to work in is 36”x48” or 48”x48”. You will see only fine art here. I have left out nearly all other productions such as murals, stickers, tattoos, graphic design, flyers, posters, banners, logos, labels, clothing design, etc. I just wanted to show my illustration and painting, most of which is done freehand. I work in every and any medium, such as acrylic, oil, pastel, natural earth products (grass, bark, soil), spray paint, stencils, adhesives, screen printing, heat transfer, crayon, pencil, ink and many more.
Please have a look through my work.....ENJOY!
WELCOME! I am Daniel Poisson. I am a self-taught artist. I have always created. I have always done artwork. I was born in 1976 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada to parents of European and First Nations Ancestry. I now base myself in Victoria ,BC, Canada. I have travelled and explored extensively both locally and afar and draw great inspiration from all aspects of life, whether positive or negative. Most of my work is created from imagination, although I do sometimes use photographs, images or objects of mine and other peoples to draw inspiration from. I do not have a style. I do not try intentionally to have such a broad range of works, however, I do try intentionally to produce work that is consistant with my feelings, emotions, moods and place in time.
