About the Book
War Scars is about architectural damage caused by the bombing during the First World War and the Second World War in London, which is still visible today.
The project was created as part of a commission for The Borough Gallery at London South Bank University, in response to the work of David Bomberg, in particular his pieces Sappers (c.1919) and Bomb Store (1942), and how he viewed the machine age as a destructive and violent force, which impacted him greatly.
