Mark Emery has been shooting stills and film footage in Alaska for over 20 years. His first film for National Geographic was "The Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes" in 1992. Later Mark produced "Seasons of the Salmon" and co- wrote the score with Tracy Collins. Most recently Mark worked on the IMAX film "Hurricane on the Bayou" and National Geographic's "King Bear" and "Moose: Titans of the North." Emery has twice been a finalist at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival for his work on bears and salmon and won a Chris Award for "Seasons of the Salmon." In 2005 he was named Wildlife Communicator of the Year. Emery is also an award winning composer. He and Tracy Collins have scored over 150 television shows. He lives with his wife Mary in Florida in winter and in Alaska in the summer.
