Aboard the Island Sky we sailed unusually calm waters for our 18 days on the Black Sea. Visiting Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria, we walked through ancient ruins left by the Greeks and Romans; strolled villages; toured palaces, visited an opera house, explored folk, fine art, and archeological museums; viewed historic battlefields; wandered ornate and famous Mosques and Orthodox Churches; climbed to an ancient monastery; saw churches and tombs carved out of sheer rock and visited a hospital where they experimented with music as a tool to heal the wounded spirit while also treating physical problems. The adventures continued every day for an exceptionally well planned trip. With this book you can enjoy some of adventure.
Paula has been keeping photo journals of her trips for some time, and has now added photo books since discovering people like to look at the pictures but are daunted by the reading volume of the journals. She lives in Washington state where she activiely keeps a blog and has a website in the making. She plans to keep traveling and making books reflecting those experiences.
