Jennifer Zdon

Jennifer Zdon is a photojournalist whose subjects have included children tap dancing for tips on city streets, music legends in their waning days and Elvis impersonators in competition. As a staff photographer for The Times-Picayune newspaper in New Orleans for more than a decade, she has documented the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and covered stories in Colombia and Europe. Among her freelance projects are portraits from the American South and images published in the books “America 24/7,” “Louisiana 24/7” and “America at Home.” She has won several regional and national honors for her work.
