Abandoned, isolated and on the edge is how the people in this collection of nine short-stories live. Here are just a few:
A woman travels to France to rebuild a fragile relationship with her estranged son.
A 14-year-old girl grows up within the irradiated exclusion zone of Chernobyl.
A teenager obsesses over fire and his blossoming younger sister.
