About the Book
However, few people enjoyed these delights. The streets were dirty, the poor were forced to steal in order to survive, and lost their hands if caught. Heads of traitors decorated the pikes of London Bridge. The Queen was the head of the Church of England and outlawed all other forms of worship. Violators were jailed.
Our Brown family story begins with William Bradford's birth in 1590.
How astonished his family would have been if they had suspected that Bradford would travel to the New World, become a signor of the Mayflower Compact and as Governor lead of the Plymouth Bay colony for nearly 40 years!
Follow our family's story with the Rev. Solomon Brown in the American Revolution, General Theron Brown in the War of 1812 and our grandparents Theron and Stella Brown homesteading in the 1890's on more than 10,000 acres in Washington State.
The saga continues with the stories and accomplishments of the authors' parents and concludes with an update of the Brown family in 2013.
