After the loss of my brother Milton, my father penned personal writings and sketches, some having direct reference to Milton and the loss he felt. As my father puts it, it was a way to ease his grief. As I read my father’s work, I felt his struggles and emotions and also the depths of his love, for life, God and his family.
Although these memories are of a bygone time . . . I wanted to share them with those I love while honoring my mom, dad and brother. So this book is showing a tiny segment of our lives as a family.
My parents always loved the arts and design which had a profound influence on me. I started with oil painting but after becoming a communication director for a chamber of commerce for many years, I developed my love and passion for graphic design and formed my design company NewSlant. After retiring I've done a little freelance work but mostly I'm focused on publishing books.
