It is a story of humble beginnings, limited education and teenage fatherhood. It is a story of overcoming obstacles, health challenges and economic downturns. It is also a story of incredible personal, professional and financial success. It is a story worth telling at a time when our culture is so invested in the idea that you must get the “right” education, postpone parenthood until the “right” time and make the “right” connections in order to succeed. This story defies all those beliefs. This story is about character, hard work, perseverance and dreams, the only qualities necessary for success. This is the story of my father’s life. This is the story of L. Paul Brayton.
