About the Book
Razed tells the story of how Network Rail is destroying huge swathes of trees along our railways, claiming this is for ‘rail safety’ when it is actually because it is cheaper for them to cut trees down rather than prune and pollard the trees ; and how a community in Whitstable resisted this destruction, and how three women chained themselves to a tree near the railway until Network Rail agreed to stop their planned destruction.
