This photo book was made by Dutch photographer Jeanette Horst. She loves to go to France and enjoy the Mediterranean sun while it’s starting to freeze in Holland. The sunny photo's in this little photo book will give you an impression of the charming Catalan cities Collioure and Céret located in the Vallée du Tech; the last French valley before crossing the Spanish border.
‘’During the Christmas holidays of 2010 I fell in love with this absolutely beautiful, most charming part of the French Pyrenees. ‘’
Especially in wintertime I love to hibernate in this beautiful place to fill up my Northern heart with the warmth of the Mediterranean sun... While drinking a good cup of coffee in the morning with a typical French croissant at one of the lovely terraces of Céret , one can almost forget all the world's sorrows for a little while...........….Hopefully you will get the same happy experience as that I have while looking at the photo's in this little book!
Jeanette Horst was born in the Netherlands in 1967. She has spent a happy childhood in Friesland and Zeeland. To her, France is like her second homeland. She is a photographer with an academic master degree in Art History and Mediterranean Archaeology. With her camera she tries to capture Beauty in general and all the facts of inter human connection. Islands, regions and places where land and sea have made an eternal pact attract her a lot.
