This book includes stunning photographs of Italian cathedrals, churches, chapels and cemeteries from the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque period. Unique architecture,perspectives shadows and light tell pictorial stories of romantic decay, poetic death, lost time and enduring love. All themes are explored through beautiful color 12” X 12” photographs that capture the image from the soul to the snapshot to the finished film.
Georgetta Gancarz graduated from the School of Visual Arts and Fordham University with degrees in Science, Education and Fine Arts. She also minored in Art Therapy and received various artist, instructor awards and scholarships. She is a professional artist, professor, author and international tour guide. With her public acclaimed charity, Artists for Breast Cancer, she continues to educate the public on cancer awareness and prevention. Georgetta currently teaches art at Seattle Central Community College, the University of Washington, EC, and Western Europe (London and Italy). She is the creator and CEO of her award winning international travel/painting program. Her work has been exhibited worldwide, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and extensively throughout Europe. She is represented by the Saatchi Gallery and is an ordained painter in the Guild of St. Luke.
