A biographical nonfiction piece that highlights the virtues of navigating a section of the Yuba River in California. It includes aspects of river navigation, a description of the salmon spawn, and an environmentally friendly commentary. All profits from the sale of the book will be donated to SYRCL's "Yuba Salmon Now" campaign.
Linda Horning, R.D. Nevada City, CA Linda Horning is a registered dietitian and former diabetes educator. Most recently, she has worked as a Clinical Educator for Novo Nordisk and a health educator and provider for Chapa-De Indian Health Program, Inc. Her experience includes a wide variety of nutrition-related jobs, both in clinical and community settings. She has been a WIC Coordinator, Head Start Nutritionist, and both a Clinical and Consulting Dietitian. She co-wrote The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Fasting with Eve Adamson and contributed to Beef Busters, by Marissa Cloutier, M.S., R.D. Linda’s love of writing extends back to her early years on a rural Pennsylvania farm, but, most recently she has begun to write about some of the adventures she has shared with her family in Nevada City, CA. Together, they enjoy backcountry and downhill skiing, hiking, biking and kayaking.
